COVENANTs

Street life is brutally dangerous for vulnerable youth.

Since opening their doors in September 1997, Covenant House has been full every night. Homeless, lost and afraid, more than 1,400 street–involved youth arrive each year looking to find sanctuary and a brighter future.

The majority of these street kids have experienced physical, sexual and/or emotional abuse, often at the hands of the adults responsible for taking care of them.

Vancouver’s downtown streets are dangerous. Sexual exploitation. Substance abuse. Poverty and illness. All commonplace on the streets and many of these youth are re-victimized there.

In response to the enormity and severity of the issues facing these kids, Covenant House responded with three core programs: Crisis ProgramStreet Outreach Program and Rights of Passage (ROP).

But they can’t do it alone.

How you can help.

Your time, your gently-used, age-appropriate clothing donations – but mostly your financial support – are not only needed, but appreciated more than you know.

For more information, please contact Covenant House Vancouver.  And our sincerest thank you to Covenant House for allowing us to proudly showcase this very worthwhile charity!
