Alexandre Jay arrived from France in August 2019 to start a new life in the beautiful city of Vancouver. With previous experience in photography and filmmaking, Alex wanted to learn graphic design to gain new skills related to the visual arts. The Langara Digital and Print Publishing program was by far the most interesting to him, and he was happy to learn completely new and unexpected skills in the areas of print, production, and coding. Alex describes his design as sleek and simple. His artistic background gives him a great sense of composition, and he likes to experiment with different styles. He loves to use his strong Photoshop skills to create posters. After completing the program, Alex hopes to find a job in the creative industry and start his own company, “Just One Look.”
