Teresa Oikawa’s interest in design and publishing evolved from her childhood habit of making books out of coloured paper and staples, rather badly, before she could even read. Years later, after sifting through an adolescence full of punk, poetry, and drawing, Teresa pursued a degree in Creative Writing before finally discovering the art of graphic design. Lucky for her, Langara’s Digital and Print Publishing program offered everything she loved in one package. Upon graduating from this program, Teresa hopes to continue her passion for graphic design, not only by being part of a design or publishing agency but also by earning her growth through self-learning and discovery. She plans on sharpening her skills over time, so that she can eventually have a design agency of her own.
